ART IS A BIG PART OF ONE OF THE SAFEST CITIES IN THE COUNTRY
The City Santa Clarita, California is among the top 10 safest cities in the United States. This vibrant community also has a strong focus on supporting the arts and arts education in their city. Is there a correlation? We think so. In fact there are a number of studies that support this conclusion. It is just common sense to us.
The city has exciting programs like their Artist-In-Residence Art Education Program that “toured through five different schools in Santa Clarita to teach the processes of creating art. For one week, local artists Dianne Foderaro and Suzi Kades helped create a piece of art with the students. During the week, the artists also shared a presentation regarding the process for their art piece. At the conclusion, the artists presented the finished artwork at assemblies.” SCVNEWS
